Xauror stands for ex-Auror Moody.
Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody appears for the first time in Harry Potter and the
Goblet of Fire. He is asked by Dumbledore to become the latest in a long
line of Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers. Mad-Eye was an Auror, a.k.a.
Dark Wizard catcher for the Ministry of Magic. He is known for his
over-suspicious nature and ability to bring in wanted Dark Wizards alive.
The site owner and programmer who used to be a forensic chemist and can tend
to be as moody as Mad-Eye thought xauror was the prefect name for a site
dedicated to safety for all ages of Harry Potter fans.
Every user
starts off as a 1st Year Student at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and
Wizardry.
Through a special practical classes battling system,
students will progress through the years at Hogwarts having the opportunity
to battle several familiar monsters and some you have never seen. When you
are ready, take your NEWTs to graduate from the school and see what else
awaits you. Will you discover how to become Lord Voldemort or Dumbledore?
Will you become an Order of the Phoenix member or a Death Eater? Will you be
a double-agent? Or will you fail out of school and become a Squib?
